Do I need my own fleet?
No. Most of the gain comes from selecting and tracking third-party carriers. Routing only enters the picture when there is a fleet.
Does it integrate with the carrier?
When the carrier offers an API or a return file, yes — quoting, dispatch and tracking stop being typed by hand.
